IV PADS heavily relies on excellent volunteers to assist us in our mission to provide for the homeless. There are numerous volunteer opportunities at our three locations, Ottawa PADS Shelter, Peru PADS Shelter, and Lily Pads Resale Boutique. Get started as a volunteer by completing the digital volunteer form. A staff member will be in contact with you shortly.
Our volunteers use their time and talents to assist with a number of duties, some of which include:
- Providing a monthly dinner, serving dinner, and cleaning dishes
- Cleaning the shelter kitchen & pantry
- Bible study leader
- Sorting and cleaning item donations
- Pricing donations at Lily Pads
- Packing sack lunches
- Preparing coffee and breakfast
- Checking in clients in the evening
- Assisting with maintenance of buildings and equipment
- Painting, trimming, and landscaping
- Helping clients with resumes, job interview skills
- Hosting a fundraising event or supply donation drive
- And MUCH MORE
